Jonas Gerard buys my painting at Our VOICE Art Show!

Our VOICE, Inc., a non-profit crisis intervention agency which serves those who've been the targets of sexual violence in Buncombe County, hosted the 10th annual Survivor's Art Show and Auction at the Asheville Area Arts Council on Biltmore Avenue.

Actress and advocate Andie McDowell was the event's honorary chair and Jonas Gerard was the featured artist. After telling Jonas yet again that he's been my inspiration for painting, he ended up winning my painting "Held", as the second bidder! I felt very honored. :-)

Here'a a photo of Jonas, myself and my painting at his studio the next day:

April 8, 2010

I'm thrilled to announce that after a nine month waiting period, I now have a wall space to show my paintings, cards and prints at the Woolworth Walk, located at 25 Haywood Street in downtown Asheville!
